Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP)
The CCMP is our long-term, community-developed plan for tackling the environmental threats to the estuary and ensuring clean water and a healthy bay for future generations. The 2021 CCMP establishes four main priority areas for action: water quality, water supply, living resources, and land use. For each priority, the plan specifies one or more goals, several objectives, and multiple actions to achieve those objectives. It also sets eight ecosystem targets – specific environmental outcomes which combine actions across multiple priorities and can be monitored to measure progress.
State of the Bay Reports
The Barnegat Bay Partnership prepares a State of the Bay Report every five years. To create the report, a technical work group of Barnegat Bay scientists reviews data from recent and ongoing research to determine both the current status and overall trends of indicators used to assess the bay’s condition.
Barnegat Bay Partnership Annual Reports
The annual reports summarize the accomplishments of the Barnegat Bay Partnership within a calendar year. Outcomes in research, education, restoration, and stewardship are highlighted.

The Barnegat Bay Beat
The Barnegat Bay Beat is a quarterly newsletter of the Barnegat Bay Partnership containing valuable news, upcoming events and programs, and volunteer opportunities around the Barnegat Bay watershed. The newsletter is a free publication distributed electronically via Constant Contact.
